Ayr Rugby Club are delighted to announce a new event to add to the already impressive social calendar. Entry will be free between 12-2pm and U’18’s and members will be free all day. The Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra will kick off proceedings at 12pm followed by M&M Theatrical Productions who have donated a Pantomime Production of Beauty & The Beast which starts at 1.30pm in the Giant 400 seat Marquee. There will be facepainting, a climbing wall, bungee trampolines and Wipeout! And don’t forget mums and dads who will be delighted by the food and drink court, including Ghillie Dhu Street Food, Burger Van, Bullish Coffee & Cakes and the obligatory ice cream van. In addition to this Ayr 1st XV will battle Watsonians on the main pitch followed by more live music in the Marquee. A committee representative said, “Our club is all about the community and this fun day is all about welcoming the local community to Millbrae. We hope to see new faces and encourage them to come back again.” With Fireworks night only a few weeks away that’s almost guaranteed!

Clubhouse Opening Hours - Summer 2022
We are delighted to announce some big changes at Millbrae.
We are relaunching the clubhouse bar, lounge and function suite under the supervision of our new Bar Manager, Dave Murie.
Dave has been involved in the licensed trade across the UK and has worked locally at the Western House Hotel and The Tam O’Shanter Inn.
Many of you will have noticed that the clubhouse has been scrubbed from top to bottom and a new range of drinks have been introduced including Amstel Lager and Birra Morretti on draft.

In the main bar we have installed a high prize quiz machine & fruit machine and an internet linked Juke Box giving unlimited access to music old and new. Off the lounge bar, the old committee room has been cleared out and converted into a spacious games room boasting a new pool table and dart board.
At Millbrae we are lucky to have arguably the best beer garden in Ayrshire and we have plans to add additional picnic benches and an outside bar for match days and events.
In August we are installing Sky Sports into the clubhouse and will be showing all major sporting events.
The clubhouse is now open every Thursday/Friday from 5pm & every Saturday/Sunday from 12pm
A warm welcome awaits members, visitors and local residents.

Club Vice-President, Brian Williamson, said, “We are encouraging members to get back into the habit of coming to the clubhouse to socialise and spend some of their leisuretime with friends and family. The local area has grown in recent years and Millbrae is one of the few family friendly licensed premises, we would love to see new faces enjoying the facilties!
If you have any enquiries or would like to book the function room please email info@ayrrugbyclub.co.uk or drop in for a chat!
New Years Day Cocktail Party at Millbrae (1pm to 7pm)
It's always a great crowd at Millbrae's famous New Year's Day Cocktail Party and don't be fooled, there aren't any cocktails! Traditionally, weary sleep deprived revellers would arrive after first footing through the night and order a lager & lime or lager shandy to soften the blow! This became known as a Millbrae Cocktail or more accurately a ruined pint!
