AYR RUGBY CLUB GIRLS SECTION
In our girl's section we have teams at U12, U14, U16 and U18 level. We are always looking for new members and no experience is necessary. If you want to give rugby a try, all that is required is a mouthguard.
Our Ayr Girl’s section training is held on a Monday evening at Dam Park & Wednesday evening at Millbrae. (U12+ U14 from 5-6pm and U16+U18 from 6-7pm).New players are always welcome, so if you are interested in giving rugby a try, why not come along as we would love to see you. P1-P7 Mini Rugby
Over the years Ayr have established one of the largest and most successful mini sections in the country. Catering for both boys and girls, players in Primary 1 - 3 begin learning the fundamentals of rugby in a non contact 'touch rugby' environment. Players in P4-P7 further develop their skills with the introduction of the tackle and ruck. All of our volunteer coaches are SRU qualified and have been vetted by the Disclosure Scotland PVG scheme providing a fun and safe environment for children to learn and develop. Training takes place on Sunday mornings at Doonside Playing Fields, and we play a number of fixtures and festivals across Scotland during the season. U13s
We have a squad of 23 players drawn from primary schools in Ayrshire. We welcome any boys in P7 to come along and have a go at playing rugby.
Training is Mondays 7:00-8:00pm at Dam Park & Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm at Millbrae. If your son is interested please come along; the only equipment required to play is a mouth guard.
U14s
We have a squad of 25 boys from a range of schools in Ayr and the surrounding area. The squad contains a mix of experience and we welcome new boys at any time during the season. Our aim is to develop all the boys in the squad and provide game time against suitable opposition.Training is Mondays 6:00-7:00pm at Dam Park & Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm at Millbrae.
U15s
We have a squad of 27 registered boys from a range of schools in Ayr and surrounding area.
Our aim is to develop all of our players, to teach them the fundamentals of rugby and to give game time to all boys who are training regularly.Training is Mondays 7:00-8:00pm at Dam Park & Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm at Millbrae.If your son is interested please come along; the only equipment required to play is a mouthguard and boots.
U16s
Ayr U16 boys currently compete in the Boys U16 Open Competition, Inspiresport Boy's U16 West Youth League B and Boys U16 National Youth Cup.Training takes place at Millbrae on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00pm - 7:30pm.
U18s
Ayr U18 boys currently compete in the Boys U18 Open Competition, Inspiresport Boy's U18 West Youth League A and Boys U18 National Youth Cup.Training takes place at Millbrae on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00pm - 7:30pm.
