Tomorrow Ayr Rugby's senior sides will be hellbent on giving their fans some positive news, after a difficult start to the new decade. A festive hangover plagued much of January, with both the Club XV and Ayrshire Bulls failing to pick up wins. The Bulls will look to cement a play-off place with a trip to Boroughmuir tomorrow, whilst the Club XV welcome Cartha to Millbrae. Elsewhere Ayr/Millbrae take on Cartha's 2nd XV at Queen Margaret Academy.

For the Bulls it was a defeat to league-leaders Watsonians before being pipped at home to Southern Knights. Peter Murchie's men still sit pretty in the FOSROC Super6, and could push into second with a win in the capital tomorrow. A reshuffled squad has been announced for the tie. Ross Thompson switches to full back for Grant Anderson, who misses out through illness. Tom Jordan fills the void at fly-half and a new midfield starts, with Isaac McNulty and Danny McCluskey both back to fitness. Harry Warr comes in at nine. The sole change in the pack is the return of Gordy Reid at loose-head. On the bench Alex McGuire earns a return and Lewis Anderson moves to cover back-row. Only two backs are listed in the replacements, with Tyler Beary and David Armstrong both dropping from the starting line up. The game kicks-off at 16.00 and you can follow the action on Twitter @AyrshireBulls.

The Club XV are at home and will look to do the double over neighbours Cartha Queens Park. A 10-21 Ayr victory in their last encounter was boosted by a Zac Howard double, so his timely return from injury will bolster Stuart Fenwick's squad. Two Ayr/Wellington U18s return after their Scottish Youth Cup run was cut short. Dylan Wilson starts in the midfield with scrum-half Adam McGowan on the bench. The game is scheduled for a 3pm kick off at Millbrae.
