Ayrshire Bulls, who are part of Ayr Rugby and play in Scottish Rugby’s FOSROC Super6 competition are looking for a new Ayrshire Bulls Head Coach with immediate effect. We have a strong track record of producing players and coaches who have progressed onto professional teams and want to see FOSROC Super6 grow and develop. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious coach who wants to play a key role in developing the Ayrshire Bulls and the FOSROC Super6 competition. Playing out of Millbrae in the iconic Pink and Black colours, you will be supported by a strong, well-run community- based club, who are looking forward to the future with excitement.

The Head Coach will have a track record of coaching successful teams and understands how to get the best of players and staff. They must be someone who can lead a positive culture and inspire others around them, with the aim of making our community proud that creates a ripple effect across the South West region and help drive FOSROC Super6 forward.The incoming Head Coach will work closely with the Team Manager, to continue to build a team of coaching and support staff whilst recruiting players.

We are looking for the successful applicant to possess the following:

  • Relevant rugby coaching experience with a successful track record of developing players and teams.
  • UKCC Level 4 Coaching qualification, or currently working towards, or willing to commit to the next available or relevant course.
  • Experience of attending and delivering CPD opportunities.
  • A track record of managing and working with in a set budget
  • A comprehensive understanding of the running of a part-time professional rugby club and its

associated amateur clubs, teams and schools as well as being responsible for a large number of the operational aspects of the club.

  • The ability to build, lead and manage a team of coaches and support staff- forming strong relationships based on mutual respect and trust, reinforced with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An in-depth knowledge and experience of rugby at the higher levels with a view to player

recruitment and development.
