Stuart Fenwick has nominted four players for Slaters Menswear Player of the Month, selecting Seth Rae, Gregor Henry, Ross Mccorkindale and Zac Howard. It was a mixed bag of results in October for Fenwick's men. A last-gasp defeat to Melrose was followed by a 26-26 draw with Stirling, before they bagged a 10-21 victory over Cartha Queens Park. They closed the month with a defeat to Marr in the first round of the Scottish Cup.

Seth Rae - It is Seth's second month nominated on the bounce. The forward has been a main-stay in the Club XV this season and enjoyed another heroic month. Rae turned out at both number eight and lock, and bagged a try against Cartha at Dumbrek. Zac Howard - The Winger was in electric form over the month of October. A brace of tries against Stirling was backed up with a Man of the Match performance at Cartha, where he also crossed the line. Ross Mccorkindale - A Club XV debut at Melrose, follwed by his first start a week later... Mccorkindale took no time at all to shine in a pink jersey. The fly-half was a constant threat throughout October and signed off his first start with a try and Man of the Match performance against Stirling. Gregor Henry - The clubs talismanic leader, Gregor has built up a reputation of putting his head where others wont. The skipper lead by example throughout October, being equally troublsome at both the breakdown and the loose. He bagged two Man of the Match performances in defeat, the first at Melrose and the second in the gruelling Ayrshire Derby. The Player of the Month Award is sponsored by Slaters Menswear, with the winner recieveing a £50 voucher for the high street tailor.
