PREVIEW: Ayr v Heriots

On Saturday Ayr RFC host Heriots in what will be the final game of 2018 at Millbrae.

Morrice Joins Ayr Ranks

23-year-old Lars Morrice has joined Ayr RFC with immediate effect.

The Second Rower joins from playing in his home nation, New Zealand, and has turned out previously for; Bay Steamers, Chiefs Development and Hong Kong Scottish.

Weighing in at 115kg and standing 201cm's tall (6ft 6in) the man-mountain will look to bring a punch going forward with ball in hand, as well as prove to be a nuisance in the air come line-out time.

Climo Named October Player-of-the-Month

Fly Half Frazier Climo snatched up Slaters Menswear Player-of-the-Month with a whopping 61% of the votes. It marks the 3rd time the Kiwi has won the award since returning to Ayr in 2015.

The kiwi has been in scintillating form this season having already tallied 109 points in just nine games (missing the opener vs Edinburgh Accies). In October he racked up two tries, eleven conversions and two penalties. The fly-half was at the heart of everything that went well for Ayr, orchestrating the attack in his usual cut-throat fashion.

Climo joins Kyle Rowe on this season's winners and will be awarded a £50 voucher for Slaters Menswear Ayr.

Stirling County 25-27 Ayr RFC

At 16.35 on Saturday Ayr were out for the count. Just four minutes remained on the clock and they found themselves on the wrong side of a ten-point deficit. They were to be knocked off the league top-spot and left to rue missed opportunities.

PREVIEW - Stirling County v Ayr

On Saturday Ayr RFC head to Bridgehaugh to take on Stirling County in the Tennent's Premiership after a weekend off.

Currie v Ayr - Weekend Round-Up

It was a busy week for those in pink and black over the weekend with the 1XV, 2XV and ladies all in league action. A mixed bag of results, a last gasp winner from the twos on Friday was followed by narrow defeat for the 1XV on Saturday to Currie Chieftains. The weekend ended on a high however with Ayr Ladies winning the Tennent's National 1 league away to Oban Lorne.
