Climo Named October Player-of-the-Month

Fly Half Frazier Climo snatched up Slaters Menswear Player-of-the-Month with a whopping 61% of the votes. It marks the 3rd time the Kiwi has won the award since returning to Ayr in 2015.

The kiwi has been in scintillating form this season having already tallied 109 points in just nine games (missing the opener vs Edinburgh Accies). In October he racked up two tries, eleven conversions and two penalties. The fly-half was at the heart of everything that went well for Ayr, orchestrating the attack in his usual cut-throat fashion.

Climo joins Kyle Rowe on this season's winners and will be awarded a £50 voucher for Slaters Menswear Ayr.

Ayr 29-3 Edinburgh Accies

Peter Murchie's men got back on track on Saturday with an emphatic 29-3 victory over league newbies Edinburgh Accies. With last weekend's agonising home defeat to Watsonians still fresh in the minds of the Millbrae faithful Ayr managed to bounce back with youthful exuberance, showcasing the strength and depth of their ranks.

Centurion Gossman Set to Depart

Ayr RFC Centurion and Scotland Club XV cap Craig Gossman is departing the club after seven years in pink and black.

Preview: Ayr v Edinburgh Accies

Pete Murchie's men will look to get back on track this weekend when they welcome Edinburgh Accies to Millbrae. Ayr started the season in historic fashion but after a spirited Watsonians side downed them last week know it's crucial to get back to winning ways.

Murchie Announces October POTM Candidates

The month of October saw Ayr RFC in action four times, picking up 16 points out of a potential 20.

Ayr 20-25 Watsonians

In 1374, long before rugby had graced God's green earth, poet Geoffrey Chaucer said: "All good things must come to an end". Fast forward to 2018 and on Saturday Watsonians provided a stark reminder to Ayr that nothing lasts forever. The Edinburgh side upset the league leaders with a 20-25 road victory to mark Peter Murchie's first loss at the helm of Ayr RFC.
